spaceCareer focus back

The General Practice Vocational Training Scheme (GPVTS) website clearly states that we are eligible to apply for the GPVTS programme as long as we meet the eligible criteria, and says that the new immigration rules do not apply to those applying to these schemes. On the Department of Health's website there is a section that states that we are allowed to complete our training if we are in the middle of it. I will therefore be eligible to extend my permit-free training for another six months if required, to allow me to complete my three year training. This goes against what is stated in the immigration guidelines. I do not need a work permit as I have valid permit-free training, which was approved in February 2006, for a full three years; this is different to a work permit. I feel I have been wrongly excluded from the shortlisting process, after having invested almost £5000 in returning to the UK from Australia to apply for the programme, and on living costs since February.
