I am a Greek doctor who graduated from the Czech Republic in November 2004. Currently, I am on a yearly locum post in general medicine, which is considered a foundation programme. I was appointed to a three month surgical training post in Greece. After my locum rural service, I wish to take a basic surgical rotation post in the NHS. I have been applying for such posts since March 2006, but I have not been shortlisted. Do I stand any chance, or should I do a foundation programme first? Does graduating in another country affect my applications?
